Chaos and Order
A search for balance.

In my painting, two movements come together: colors that intuitively find their own path, and fine lines that bring a sense of order. The wildness is allowed to keep its space. The structure is there to hold it without restricting it.
I am interested in how much order we need in order to feel secure – and how much openness we need for change to remain possible. On the canvas, this question becomes visible: between the planned and the unexpected, between precision and intuition.

Giving space to the in-between
About the time when one work is complete and the next has not yet taken shape.

Sometimes the ideas for a new series are already there, but not yet tangible. In phases like these, the abundance of other people’s images can create more restlessness than clarity. I try to listen to my own process again.
An idea is allowed to grow without immediately becoming a finished result. One more line, a little more depth, a pause: all of this is part of the work. I want to allow this open space in between – and trust that the next form will emerge in its own time.
Behind the scene
Special drawing
Flowers, lines, and the quiet presence of a woman in traditional Montafon dress.

The face remains hidden. In “Unverblümt,” I am interested in the presence that grows from heritage, experience, and tradition. The dense floral patterns speak of this without the need to explain or define a single individual.
When drawing the fine details, I find a sense of calm. From countless small lines, an inner order begins to emerge – rich yet balanced. Even before the work is complete, it becomes tangible how much strength and poise can lie within a quiet gesture.
