COMMISSIONS

Your story.
As a work of art.

Every work begins with a conversation. I create individual works of art inspired by your story, your memories and your personal world.

A COMMISSION

... a journey we take together

For me, a commission is not simply a traditional assignment.

It is a personal process between two people – built on trust, time and genuine attention.

The focus is not only on the finished artwork, but on the journey that leads to it.

01

GETTING TO KNOW YOU

We don't begin with a subject – we begin with you.

If you are interested in a commission, everything begins with an in-depth conversation.

Whenever possible, I am very happy to visit you in your home.

Not to document anything – but to experience the environment you live in, the atmosphere that surrounds you and the space your future artwork will eventually become part of.

Often, a space reveals more about a person than words ever could.

If meeting in person is not possible due to distance, we get to know one another through an in-depth online conversation. Here too, I consciously take the time to truly listen and understand your story.

02

YOUR STORY AS THE STARTING POINT

I don't paint subjects.
I translate memories.

Your commission can take many forms.

Perhaps it is a place that means something special to you.

Perhaps a memory of a particular moment.

Perhaps a feeling you want to preserve.

If your story is connected to a real place, I may allow elements of it to become part of the work – not as a literal representation, but as something recognisable within my abstract visual language.

I do not work from photographs.

Everything begins with your story.

CONNECTION

Not every story
becomes a work of art.

It is important to me to remain true to my artistic practice.

Not every enquiry automatically becomes a commission.

I need to feel a connection to a story – it has to evoke something within me so that I can translate it into my own visual language.

This decision is part of the process.

When it feels right for both sides, it can develop into an exceptionally personal and trusting collaboration.

03

THE ARTISTIC PROCESS

Layer by layer,
meaning emerges.

My works develop through multiple intuitive layers.

The first layer establishes the emotional foundation of the work. Further layers are built upon it – some remaining visible, others becoming partially concealed again.

In this way, a living artwork emerges in which story, emotion and memory overlap.

Nothing is entirely controlled.
Everything develops organically.

And that is precisely where depth emerges.

THE FINISHED WORK

An original
created only for you.

What emerges in the end is not a “product”.

It is a work of art born from your story and my interpretation.

A unique original that will not be reproduced and has only one origin: the creative process we shared.

GOOD TO KNOW

Your questions

Perhaps there are a few things you would like to know before getting in touch.

How does a commission work?

Everything begins with a personal conversation. We talk about your story, your memories, the space and what you would like the future artwork to carry within it. Only when we both feel that something meaningful can emerge from this does the artistic process begin.

Do I need to provide a photograph?

No. I do not create works based on a photographic reference. Photographs may form part of our exchange, but what matters most to me is your story – what I perceive within it and how I translate that into my own visual language.

How long does it take to create a work?

The time required depends on the size, technique and individual artistic process involved. Before I begin, we will discuss an approximate timeframe together.

Can I influence the final result?

Your story forms the starting point of the work. At the same time, the artistic process needs freedom. The result is therefore not a precisely predetermined representation, but my personal interpretation of what you share with me.

Why don't you accept every enquiry?

For me, a commission only works when I can form a genuine connection with the story behind it. It needs to evoke something within me so that an authentic artwork can emerge in my own visual language.

How can I enquire about a commission?

Write me a few personal lines about yourself and your idea. We will then arrange an initial conversation and explore together whether – and how – your story might become a work of art.

YOUR ARTWORK

Perhaps it begins
with a conversation.

If you are ready to transform your story into a work of art, I would love to get to know you.

Not simply as a client.
But as part of a shared creative process.
